Good morning! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are raring to be back at school!!
First, I'd like to thank each and everyone of you for doing such an incredible job last week with your Heritage Presentations. I just loved learning more about your families and your cultural heritage. Thank you also to the parents who provided such delicious food - we had a wonderful variety to choose from.
Happenings This Week
This week on Wednesday, all 5th Grade students will be visiting Frost Middle School. Thank you for returning the field trip slips. They will be departing at 10:00 am and returning at 12:00 in time for lunch here at Van Gogh.
A new science rotation begins this week - this is the third and last rotation in the science program.
Our California Treasures program begins a new unit on Teamwork and Survival.
Math - we are working on surface area and will be moving into finding the volume of rectangular prisms.
Homework - Monday, Feb. 4th
